Sigma Pi Sigma is a physics honor society that SPS students majoring in physics are eligible for induction into. Sigma Pi Sigma exists to honor academic achievement and scholarship, encourage interest in physics, promote service, and provide fellowship. Honor Society membership is nomination-based, and relies on strong academic and community engagement.
Since the UNCG Sigma Pi Sigma chapter’s 1977 charter, 89 UNCG Physics and Astronomy students have been inducted.
